This is who I am---don't expect a whole lot of blogs to follow

My name is Jacob, I am 18. I am now a freshman at The University of Florida. I am a PROUD
Florida Gator. I am a Journalism and Communications major and I may minor in Public Relations. I am a writer. I love to run, and surf. I am going to run in the Boston Marathon in 2009. I love my dog his name is Jipper. Up until April 29, 2007, God was pretty much number one in my life. That day my world turned upside down and the entire world (or at least a lot of it) has watched me grieve the loss of my older sister. God took her home, but not before she met Him. Louie Giglio has told her "story" to thousands and maybe even millions at this point. Ashley Lane Akinns was my best friend and my sister. I loved her so much and miss her even more. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about her and there is not an hour that goes by that I would not give up all the good she has done by being with Jesus at age 22 to have her back again. I may be selfish but it is the truth.
